In a move aimed at improving service delivery in the District, Kibaale District Local Government has today handed over two brand new Yamaha DT Motorcycles to the District Commercial Department as they were tasked to extend the services down to the direct beneficiaries. During the handover that was graced the DEC members, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Habib Abubakar the Senior Commercial Officer Tourism Officer and Communications Officer, the Deputy CAO tasked the officers to use the motorcycles to implement government programs in their department that benefit the people. He says with the transport issue solved in the department, the district expects the Tourism section to be boosted. Habib says that Kibaale District needs to develop local tourism as it will help the district realize an increase in local revenue. Gerald Bategeka the District Vice Chairperson called upon the Commercial department to guide and watch the formation of more groups and SACCOs, alongside implementation of other revenue generating activities that will help the District develop in the long run.
