OVER 200 LEARNERS TO BENEFIT FROM BUNYORO KINGDOM EDUCATION PROGRAM
With the rise in need and desire for University education in Kibaale district and Uganda at large, Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom has offered over150 learners udents have already benefited from the bursaries that are given out yearly by across the districts of Kagadi, Kibaale and Kakumiro.
The project coordinator and at the same time the advisor to the Bunyoro Kitara King, Francis Sewante Amooti talking to KDR reporters at the NRM offices in karuguuza today, he said that the kingdom is giving out the bursaries with the aim of helping the parents on fees burden.
He added that the kingdom will give out 200 half bursaries to secondary school students in the schools of premier secondary school Hoima and St. Johns secondary school Kibaale and 200 half bursaries to university students at Kampala university adding that university students will also be given free accommodation.
Talking to parents and pupils who could not hide their happiness today, they have thanked the kingdom for its massive support towards improving on the education standards in the kingdom.
